The story is bigger and more convoluted than Returns, with some pretty impressive stakes and consequences. You have a crew in this one, a quartet of extremely well fleshed out and likeable allies that you can build and use for free on missions (non-crew mercenaries are still available for hire, of course, but it's rarely to your benefit to use them). The epilogue is perfect for a Shadowrun campaign, however, and you are allowed a lot of options for approaching missions.ĭragonfall: Exceptional campaign. The final fight leaves you relying on an un-typed firearm (it acts like a shotgun but doesn't use shotgun skills) and all your other powers (rigger drones, spells, weapons, etc) only work half the time. The story is pretty solid for the most part - not the most compelling when you understand the course of events, but all the pieces fit together better than most stories - although I have to say the finale is annoying. No crew, just a blank slate main character, a couple occasionally recurring allies, and a bunch of paid muscle, means that there's not much to really attach yourself to, narratively.
